We are the public organization "Association for the Promotion of the Search and Return of Cultural Values to Ukraine," led by director Igor Mykolayovych Piddubny, in collaboration with the Kharkiv City Council.
Out of the 120 schools, more than 60% of primary educational institutions in Kharkiv have been bombed. The same fate has befallen preschools. Without ensuring a safe learning environment and the security of children during classes, we cannot bring back families who left the city since February 2022. The city could restart 184 schools, of which 126 have shelters.
Wouldn't a city of over a million and a half people want to have a modern European school for the 21st century? It's crucial for Kharkiv residents who went to war to understand and see that efforts are being made for them to return.
Currently, negotiations are ongoing about the exhibition schedule and locations.
Support groups engaged in our project include Rotterdam (Netherlands), London and Cambridge (United Kingdom), Vienna (Austria), Stockholm (Sweden), Rome and Vatican City (Italy). We plan to hold events from September 10th to the end of the year.
